The Pot is a personal material and form exploration created in Ericeira, Portugal with locally sourced clay and organic glazing materials through a deliberate, slow and entirely handmade process, this project reflects a deep respect for traditional methods. Inspired by journeys in South Asia, The Pot pays homage to ancient cooking practices and celebrates the timeless ritual of food preparation.

Clay pot cooking is one of the earliest ways of cooking. Clay is an alkaline porous material that spreads the fire heat evenly, preserving the nutritional properties of food. Western culture has largely replaced clay with aluminum and the effect of synthetic materials is felt not only in human health but also in the taste of food. The Pot seeks to honour cooking as a ritual of love and nourishment by reintroducing clay cookware as a mindful choice, rooted in both heritage and functionality.​​​​
